About: The Swift Family

Chad and Ashlee currently serve as intercessory missionaries at the International House of Prayer in Atlanta, GA. In 1010BC, King David of Israel, by the revelation of God, established a levitical priesthood set apart to "minister to the Lord, make petition, give thanks, and praise the Lord" (1Chron. 16:4). This established the first 24/7 House of Prayer in the world on Mount Zion, which we usually refer to as the Tabernacle of David. The Lord is worthy of worship and extravagant devotion in every moment. It would be unjust to let the praise and cry to God cease; especially while sin in our city is unceasing.

In Luke 2:36-38, we encounter an intercessory missionary named, Anna, who gave her life (for real, at least 60 years of it) to day and night fasting, praying, and worshiping in the Temple before the Lord. She was a prophetess and evangelist being blessed with revelation from the Lord and proclaiming the Messiah to many in Israel. Anna was just one of a multitude of Intercessors in that day who took part in praying in the birth of Jesus the Messiah on the planet! "God does nothing, but through prayer," taught John Wesley. He was touching on the reality that very move of God has intercessors involved. Today, as in the day of Anna, God is again raising up a great multitude to live fasted lifestyles of extravagant worship and prayer to usher in revival, the fulfillment of prophecy, and the return of Jesus to the planet unto establishing His reign.

This couple met at Berry College and wed in 1999. Chad began touring as a singer/songwriter while in college, and continued in that concert and worship leading ministry full-time. Getting off the road in 2003, Chad became the Worship Arts Pastor at Rockbridge Community Church in Dalton, GA, and Ashlee left programming to go hard after the Lord as an intercessor at home. They moved to IHOP Atlanta in June 2005, and gave birth to their daughter, Grace, in October of that year. They have been engaged in the ministry at IHOP Atlanta as intercessors and worshipers to today. Chad gives leadership to the House of Prayer during the evening watch, and is a teacher at IHOP's Gatekeeper School of Ministry.
